Bah, so I’ve been looking at tutorials for how to make hair, objects, etc. for The Sims 3, and it looks like it might be a while before I can make anything for the game.
The people in the community who make all the necessary plugins for importing and exporting meshes to and from the game have yet to make any plugins for free modeling software (like Blender, which is what I use). It seems that the popular but not-free Milkshape is still number one in this community. For a long time, I couldn’t make any clothing for TS2 before a fellow Blender-user made some plugins for importing/exporting smd files.
There is one person on MTS who was working on some plugins for Blender a bit ago, but hasn’t finished them so we’re still waiting. Until then, I’ll still be creating for TS2. We’ll just have to be patient.
Also, I’m working on a MONSTER bathroom set for you guys– tons of pretties. I can’t wait to show them to you!
i’m so excited about your new set. Your work is wonderful and I have all of your previous sets in my game, including the props you made with decorgal. thank you so much for the time you put into creating. its truly appreciated!
oh..and when youre able to make stuff for sims 3, i know it will be amazing! hang in there! ~xtina.
PS..i forgot to mention, the new look of your site it kick-ass!
Thank you! Yeah, I wish I knew enough about writing plugins to make my own. Siiiigh. Impatient.
New pretties soon? Yey! A bathroom set in particular sounds fantastic, you’ll have me lurking your site for the next while in anticipation haha.
Hope you get it sorted sooner rather than later, to cure your impatience!
I’m loving the new site Adele; it’s great seeing all your work together in one place as well. I also *have* to mention, the link to your art was much welcomed, I’m stunned at the beauty of those drawings!
When you get around to TS3 creation, I’ll be very interested to see what you come up with. Your work is always of high standards, I just might have to buy TS3 if the work is as good as I expect

Yay, excited for the bathroom set [:
I can’t say that I am not happy that you can’t make things for Sims 3. Too many artist have quit making things for Sims 2 & gone to Sims 3. I hate Sims 3, I still love Sims 2 & I refuse to play Sims 3.
@ Hev: I know what you mean– I’m seeing a lot of creators totally ditch TS2. I enjoy TS3 but don’t consider it to be a “newer” version of TS2, really– nothing to abandon that game over, they’re way too different. My friend made a great observation when she was telling me about how I should get TS3: it’s not really like a better version of TS2, it’s like Pepsi vs. Coke.
I’m still going to be making stuff for TS2 for a long while, so you’ll have at least one creator sticking to this game!
